This exclosure was erected at La Pérouse Bay in 1984. Note that essentially no re-growth has occurred (the green around the edges is an artefact of the fence catching small pieces of roots which re-established themselves vegetatively). The estimated re-vegetation time in these salt marshes is measured in decades.
