W. D. Matthew:

We have been in camp in the vicinity of Laguna Colorado, five or six miles west of Gallinia for over a week now. The Wasatch deposits are close by and have begun of field fossils; we have not much yet in the way of visual things but have three Coryphodon skulls - An adult and two young. They are all crushed but one of the young skulls is in fuirl, (?) shape - Both young skulls have the lower jaws and all have firm teeth.

Among the usual (?) we have not much but Eohippus, Esthonyx, and a couple of fragmentary specimens of Calamedon(?).

I thought it best to do the (?) first because we have less from this ...than from the two lower ones and we used it especially in connection with the Big Horn Collection.

I find camp in conditions here very fond and our Mexican turns out way capable sort of person for that breed. Rain has (?) us some the last week.

I do not think we are going to put a Big Horn Collection out of here but we will do what can be done. The small things average much more fragmentary then in Wyoming.

Kindest (?) of journey and (?).

Very Sincerely yours,

Walter Granger
