The aerial view of La Pérouse Bay shows the results of the processes at a larger scale and reveals the large bare areas, with largely only low willows left growing and visible. The sedge and grass forage plant communities have almost completely disappeared. Note the tan areas which are bare soils formerly covered with short grasses and sedges.
