Pamela Horsley completed her B.Sc. in Biology at the University of Ottawa in 2005, completing an honour's thesis project in Curculionidae (Coleoptera) systematics in conjunction with the Canadian Museum of Nature (CMN). Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she began working at the CMN as a Research and Collections Technician involved in a variety of projects focused on Coleoptera systematics and collections care. She completed her M.Sc. in Entomology at McGill University in 2009 and her thesis research included a systematic revision of the hyperdiverse leaf litter-inhabiting genus Trachyphloeomimus (Curculionidae, Entiminae). In 2009, she was hired through an NSF grant as the Entomology Collection Manager at the San Diego Natural History Museum. Her research and work experience has allowed her to do field work in central and northeast Mexico, as well as the south-western United States. She is currently President of the Entomological Collections Network (ECN), Entomological Collections Network and has been involved in the coordination of the annual meeting for several years.
