17 August, 1909

Dear Brown:

I was very much interested to receive your letter of August 7th from Lismas, from which I judge that you have not found the Triceratops skeleton more extensive than you estimated from your preliminary prospecting.

I think you are quite right not to take up the Trachodons, but it would be well to make a very careful record of the location, as it is quite possible we might do a good turn to the British Museum by having the specimens taken up for them. Advise me about this.

Congratulations on finding the new carnivorous dinosaur, in all probability, as you suppose, belonging to Ornithomimus.

The men are just back from their vacation, looking ruddy and well.

Dr. Case is assembling the Eryops skeleton, and it will make a fine complete mount.

Cool weather with enormously heavy rains during the last three days. With kindest regards,

Always very sincerely yours,

H.F. Osborn
