Description: The ALS are widened, cylindrical, widely separated, and often further forward anteriorly, bearing long spigots. The bases of ALS spigots are much longer than the distal parts (shafts) and are closely associated with plumose setae. Chelicera enlarged and divergent. Posterior eye row procurved or strongly procurved or with circular arrangement. The superior tarsal claws are often unarmed.

Distribution: Worldwide, mostly warmer regions.
