Rhacophorus robustus Boulenger, 1909, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 8, 4: 494. Syntypes: BMNH ("several specimens"), including 1947.2.8.25-26 (formerly 1909.10.29.73-74), 1909.10.29.75, 1947.2.8.27-29 (formerly 1909.10.29.76-79), and 1947.2.8.79-81 (including 1909.10.29.80-82), according to museum records. MCZ 15412 (exchanged from BMNH according to Barbour and Loveridge, 1946, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 96: 185), although the status of this specimen requires verification. Type locality: "Kankau (sea-level), Alikang (about 3000 feet), and Kosempo (about 5000 feet)", Taiwan, China.
