Rana sauteri Boulenger, 1909, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 8, 4: 493. Syntypes: BMNH (5 specimens), by original designation, these being BMNH 1947.2.1.24–28 (formerly 1909.10.29.42–46) by museum records. Type locality: "Kanshirei Village, altitude about 2000 feet ", Taiwan, China.
