Odorrana huanggangensis Chen, Zhou, and Zheng, 2010, Acta Zootaxon. Sinica, 35: 207. Holotype: HNNU 0607003, by original designation. Type locality: "Wuyi Mountains National Nature Reserve of Fujian Province, China (27° 45′ N, 117° 41′ E; alt. 734 m)".

English Names

Huanggang Odorous Frog (Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 378). 

Distribution

Wuyi Mountains in Fujian and eastern Jiangxi provinces, 200 to 800 m elevation, and in the Fanjing Mountains of northeastern Guizhou, China.

Confused with Odorrana schmackeri priori to its naming according to the original publication. Fei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 378, provided an account, photographs, and a range map. Zhang, 2017, Amph. Rept. Fanjing Mts.: 134–137, provided taxonomic and natural history information for the Fanjing Mountains population in northeastern Guizhou, China. Jiang, Yan, Luo, Xiao, Deng, and Zhou, 2022, Diversity & Distributions, 28: 2648–2664, reported on the molecular phylogenetics and biogeography in the karst regions of Guizhou, China.
