Odorrana geminata Bain, Stuart, Nguyen, Che, and Rao, 2009, Copeia, 2009: 355. Holotype: AMNH 163782, by original designation. Type locality: "Vietnam, Ha Giang Province, Vi Xuyen District, Cao Bo Commune, Mount Tay Con Linh II, above Tham Ve Village in a stream near 22°46′8″N, 104°49′51″E, 1420 m elevation".

Distribution

High-gradient streams in montane regions in northeastern Vietnam (Ha Giang and Cao Bang Provinces) and southeastern Yunnan Province (Malipo County), China, 800–1700 m elevation.

Confused with Odorrana chapaensis prior to its naming according to the original publication. See comment under Odorrana chapaensis. Bain and Nguyen, 2004, Am. Mus. Novit., 3453: 11–12, provided the record for Ha Giang Province, Vietnam, as Odorrana chapaensisFei, Ye, and Jiang, 2012, Colored Atlas Chinese Amph. Distr.: 410, provided an account (as Amolops geminata), photographs, and a range map for China.
