Hylarana magna Biju, Garg, Mahony, Wijayathilaka, Senevirathne, and Meegaskumbura, 2014, Contr. Zool., Amsterdam, 83: 309. Holotype: BNHS 5857, by original designation. Type locality: "Pandimotta, Shendurney WLS, Thiruvananthapuram dist., Kerala state, India".

English Names

Large Golden-backed Frog (original publication; Dinesh, Radhakrishnan, Deepak, and Kulkarni, 2023, Fauna India Checklist, vers. 5.0 : 10).

Distribution

Known only from four localities in the Agasthyamala hills (Pandimotta, Athirimala, Attyar, Pandipath) in the southern Western Ghats of Kerala state, and adjoining regions (Kakkachi) of Tamil Nadu state, between 600 and 1425 m elevation.
