Amolops tuberodepressus Liu and Yang, 2000, Herpetologica, 56: 232. Holotype: KIZ 91A5005, by original designation. Type locality: "Mt. Wuliang in Jingdong County, Yunnan Province, China (24° 30′ N, 100° 45′ E, altitude 2100 m above sea level)".

Removed from the synonymy of Amolops mantzorum by Lu, Bi, and Fu, 2014, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 73: 48, where it had been placed by Fei, Hu, Ye, and Huang, 2009, Fauna Sinica, Amph. 3: 1539. Zhang, Xia, and Zeng, 2016, MtDNA, Part A, 27: 2893–2894, reported on the mtDNA genome. In the Amolops mantzorum group of Zeng, Liang, Li, Lyu, Wang, and Zhang, 2020, Mol. Phylogenet.
