Distribution

Known only from Mt. Tay Con Linh II in Ha Giang Province, northeastern Vietnam; presumably extends into adjacent Yunnan, China.

Comment

Most similar to Rana daorum and Rana changanensis according to the original publication. Stuart, Bain, Phimmachak, and Spence, 2010, Herpetologica, 66: 64, discussed the possibility that Amolops daorum and Amolops iriodes may be conspecific, and placed this species in their Amolops monticola group.
