Comment
Resurrected from the synonymy of Arthroleptella lightfooti by Channing, Hendricks, and Dawood, 1994, S. Afr. J. Zool., 29: 242, where it had been placed by Poynton, 1964, Ann. Natal Mus., 17: 152. See accounts by Channing, 2001, Amph. Cent. S. Afr.: 275-276, Channing, 2004, in Minter et al. (eds.), Atlas Frogs S. Afr. Lesotho and Swaziland: 208-209, and Du Preez and Carruthers, 2009, Compl. Guide Frogs S. Afr.: 348-349. With the naming of Arthroleptella draconella and Arthroleptella atermina by Turner and Channing, 2017, Afr. J. Herpetol., 66: 53–78, the range of Arthroleptella bicolor was excluded from the Du Toits Kloof, Hawequas, Klein Drakenstein, and Riviersonderend Mountains. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 364–365, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map.
