Pithecopus ayeaye Lutz, 1966, Copeia, 1966: 236. Holotype: AL-MNRJ 3722, by original designation. Type locality: "Morro do Ferro, a hill inside an ancient volcanic crater, at Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais", Brazil.
