Pithecopus araguaius Haga, Andrade, Bruschi, Recco-Pimentel, and Giaretta, 2017, PLoS One, 12(9: e0184631): 7. Holotype. AAG-UFU 3444, by original designation. Known from widely separated localities in extreme northeastern Mato Grosso, south central Mato Grosso, and southeastern Mato Grosso, Brazil. 


The sister species of Pithecopus hypochondrialis according to the original publication.
