Litoria kumae Menzies and Tyler, 2004, Aust. J. Zool., 52: 204. Holotype: UP 3108, by original designation. Type locality: "Piwa Mission, near Tari, Southern Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea, 5° 51′ S, 142° 53′ E, altitude 1500 m above sea level".

Distribution

Southern Highlands Province in the upper Kikori River basin and possibly the upper Strickland River, of Papua New Guinea at elevations above 1000 m.

Comment

In the Litoria gracilenta group and prior to its naming confused with Litoria gracilenta according to the original publication. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 107, provided a brief account for this species which he included in his Litoria gracilenta complex. Shea and Kraus, 2007, Zootaxa, 1514: 37-60, commented on the paratypes. Kraus, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 246-248, provided a range extension.
