Proceratophrys strussmannae Ávila, Kawashita-Ribeiro, and Morais, 2011, Zootaxa, 2890: 21. Holotype: UFMT 7874, by original designation. Type locality: "on the left margin of Jauru River (15° 05′ 24″ S 58° 44′ 25″ W), at ca. 200 altitude, Municipality of Araputanga, southwestern of Mato Grosso state, western Brazil".

Known from three localities in two municipalities (Vale de São Domingos and Araputanga) in the Guapore river drainage in the state of Mato Grosso, western Brazil.
