Proceratophrys concavitympanum Giaretta, Bernarde, and Kokubum, 2000, J. Herpetol., 34: 174. Holotype: ZUEC 11387, by original designation. Type locality: "Fazenda Jaburi (approximately 60° 43′ W, 11° 37′ S), Municipality of Espigão D'Oseste, State of Rondônia, Brazil".

Distribution

Known from open rain forest from south-central Rondônia east and through northwestern Mato Grosso and central Pará to central Tocantins, Brazil; presumably to be found in the intervening areas in the southeastern part of the state of Amazonas.

Comment

Most similar to Proceratophrys cristiceps and Proceratophrys goyana according to the original publication. Dias, Medeiros, Solé, and Pimenta, 2011, Check List, 7: 108-109, reported on a locality in Pará, Brazil, and discussed the range. Bernardo, Matiazzi, and Guerra-Fuentes, 2012, Check List, 8: 152-154, provided a new record for Para and provided a spot map of distribution.
