Proceratophrys brauni Kwet and Faivovich, 2001, Copeia, 2001: 204. Holotype: MCP 3260, by original designation. Type locality: "near Fortaleza dos Aparados, 29° 00′ S, 50° 00′ W, at about 1000 m elevation, municipality of Cambará do Sul, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil".

Distribution

One locality in central Paraná as well as records along both sides of the Santa Catarina–Rio Grande do Sul border from the midpoint of this border to the Atlantic coastal plain: Barracão, Cambará do Sul, and São Francisco de Paula in Rio Grande do Sul, and Timbé do Sul in Santa Catarina,.
