Comment

Closely related to Odontophrynus moratoi (= Proceratophrys moratoi) according to the original publication. Brandão and Batista, 2000, Iheringia, Zool., 89: 165-171, discussed the tadpole and the species' range. Amaro, Pavan, and Rodrigues, 2009, Zootaxa, 2071: 65, suggested that this species is actually a member of Proceratophrys.
