Uperoleia inundata Tyler, Davies, and Martin, 1981, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 29 (79): 39. Holotype: SAMA R17182, by original designation. Type locality: "Jabiru, East Alligator River Region, Northern Territory (126° 28′ S, 132° 56′ E)", Australia. Synonymy by Jaya, Tanner, Whitehead, Doughty, Keogh, Moritz, and Catullo, 2022, Mol. Ecol., 31: 4538.

Kimberley Division of Western Australia including Truscott, Mitchell Plateau, Prince Regent River Nature Reserve, Monington Station, and Drysdale River Station; floodplains east of extreme northern Western Australia east through northern Northern Territory to northwestern Queensland, Australia.
