Mixophyes fasciolatus Günther, 1864, Proc. Zool. Soc. London, 1864: 46. also described as new by Günther, 1864, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 3, 14: 312. Syntypes: BMNH 1947.2.19.89-90 (formerly 1862.10.26.3, 64.1.17.39). BMNH 1947.2.19.89 designated lectotype by Corben and Ingram, 1987, Mem. Queensland Mus., 25: 236. Type locality: "Clarence River", New South Wales, Australia.

Hyla fenestrata De Vis, 1884, Proc. R. Soc. Queensland, 1: 128. Syntypes: Not designated, presumably in QM. Type locality: "Tweed River", New South Wales, Australia. Synonymy by Boulenger, 1885, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 5, 16: 387.
