Otophryne robusta Boulenger, 1900, Trans. Linn. Soc. London, Ser. 2, 8: 55. Holotype: BMNH 1899.3.25.18, according to Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 110; now reregistered BMNH 1947.2.11.44, according to museum records. Type locality: "foot of Mt. Roraima, 3,500 feet.", Guyana or Venezuela. See comment.
