Provinces of Napo, Orellana, and Pastaza, Ecuador; San Martín (Loreto) and Madre de Dios (Manu), Peru.

von May, Santa Cruz, and Jennings, 2007, Herpetol. Rev., 38: 476, provided a record from Madre de Dios, Peru. Rodríguez and Duellman, 1994, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 22: 76, provided a brief account for the Iquitos region of northeastern Peru. Peloso, Sturaro, Forlani, Gaucher, Motta, and Wheeler, 2014, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 386: 33–34, provided an account and implied some controversy over the identity of some Peruvian records as well as placing it in the Chiasmocleis hudsoni clade.
