Comment

Chiasmocleis anatipes was suggested, in the original publication, to be close to Chiasmocleis leucosticta and divergent from other ChiasmocleisPeloso, Sturaro, Forlani, Gaucher, Motta, and Wheeler, 2014, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 386: 30–33, placed this in their Chiasmocleis ventrimaculata clade and provided an account, noting that published records from Manaus, Brazil, are based on misidentifications, and records from the Iquitos region of northeastern Peru are of questionable identification.
