Plethodontohyla brevipes Boulenger, 1882, Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus., Ed. 2: 474. Holotype: BMNH, by original designation, this being BMNH 1882.3.16.31 according to Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 46 (now renumbered BMNH 1947.2.10.42 according to Blommers-Schlösser and Blanc, 1991, Faune de Madagascar, 75: 63). Type locality: "East Betsileo", Madagascar.

Distribution

East Betsileo (an imprecise locality) and Parc National de Ranomafana, in rainforest, southern-east Madagascar, 900-1100 m elevation.
