Peters: 48; MSNG 29129 designated lectotype by Capocaccia, 1957, Ann. Mus. Civ. Stor. Nat. Genova, Ser. 3, 69: 219, who incorrectly reported the ZMB syntype as lost according to Bauer, Günther, and Robeck, 1996, Mitt. Zool. Mus. Berlin, 72: 267. Type locality: "Hatam, Montis Arfak [= Arfak Mountains]", Vogelkop Peninsula, Papua (New Guinea), Indonesia.
