Cophixalus crepitans Zweifel, 1985, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 182: 315. Holotype: QM J28817, by original designation. Type locality: "Leo Creek, McIlwraith Range, northeast of Coen, Cape York Peninsula, Queensland", Australia.

Asterophrys crepitans — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 479, by implication.
