Dresden, 34: 173. BPBM 13816 designated neotype by Kraus and Allison, 2001, Herpetologica, 57: 216. Type locality: "Torricelligebirge" (= Torricelli Mountains), West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. Neotype is from "2 km W of Utai aerodrome, 3.391° S, 141.564° E, 210 m elevation, west Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea".

Distribution

Adelbert, Torricelli, Bewani, and Hunstein Mountains on the northern coast of Papua New Guinea, 200-1000 m elevation; also reported in the Star Mountain foothills in the upper Ok Tedi Catchment near the Papua, Indonesia border, so expected in that country.
