Micrixalus nigraventris Biju, Garg, Gururaja, Shouche, and Walujkar, 2014, Ceylon J. Sci., Biol. Sci., 43: 59. Holotype. BNHS 5793, by original designation. Type locality: "Kodaikanal, Dindigul dist., Tamil Nadu state, India".

Distribution

Western Ghats of Kerala and Tamil Nadu,between the Palghat Gap and the Shencottah Gap; specifically reported in Eravikulam National Park (Idukki District) in Kerala , and Kodaikanal (Dindigul District) in Tamil Nadu.
