Distribution

Known only from Wenxian County, extreme southern Gansu, and Pingwu and Beichuan counties in northeastern Sichuan, China, 2100–2200 m elevation.

Related to Scutiger chingtingensis, according to the redescription (Liu and Tian, 1981, Acta Herpetol. Sinica, 5 (1): 5–10). May belong in Oreolalax, but see comment under Scutiger.
