Comment

If (following Dubois, 1980, Bull. Mens. Soc. Linn. Lyon, 49: 469–482) Ophryophryne is considered a subgenus of Megophrys, Ophryophryne pachyproctus Kuo, 1985, becomes a secondary homonym of Megophrys pachyproctus Huang, 1981. Closely related to Ophryophryne microstoma according to the original publication. See accounts by Yang, 1991, Amph. Fauna of Yunnan: 66–67; Ye, Fei, and Hu, 1993, Rare and Economic Amph.
