Comment

See comments by Ohler, Marquis, Swan, and Grosjean, 2000, Herpetozoa, Wien, 13: 74. Chan-ard, 2003, Photograph. Guide Amph. Thailand: 78-79, provided a very brief account, map for Thailand, and photograph. Stuart, 2005, Herpetol. Rev., 36: 474, provided records for Laos, which Ohler, Wollenberg, Grosjean, Hendrix, Vences, Ziegler, and Dubois, 2011, Zootaxa, 3147: 32-32, referred to Leptolalax eos and those from Thailand as Leptolalax sp. See comment under Leptolalax eos and (p. 75) gave conflicting statements on the range. Chen, Poyarkov, Suwannapoom, Lathrop, Wu, Zhou, Yuan, Jin, Chen, Liu, Nguyen, Nguyen, Duong, Eto, Nishikawa, Matsui, Orlov, Stuart, Brown, Rowley, Murphy, Wang, and Che, 2018, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 124: 169, reported this species from Dawei Shan and Xiaoqiaogou Nature Reserve, Yunnan, China, near the Vietnam border and also Mao’er Shan, north-central Guangxi, China. Niyomwan, Srisom, and Pawangkhanant, 2019, Field Guide Amph. Thailand: 118–119, provided a brief account (photograph, habitat, and range) for Thailand (in Thai). Makchai, Chuaynkern, Safoowong, Chuachat, and Cota, 2020, Amph. N. Thailand: 85, provided photographs, a brief account for Thailand, and a range map, apparently not accepting the earlier rejection of this identification for Thailand specimens.
