Paratelmatobius lutzii Lutz and Carvalho, 1958, Mem. Oswaldo Cruz, Rio de Janeiro, 56: 241. Holotype: MNRJ 2180, by original designation. Type locality: "Brejo da Lapa, Alto Itatiaia, Estado do Rio de Janeiro, lat. 22° 24′ 48″ S. long, 44° 55′ 00″ W. Greenwich, alt. 2.100 m.", Brazil. Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 80, noted that the types were obtained "entre 9 e 11 da estrada de rodagem que vai ter as Agulhas Negras, a cerca de 2.200 metros de altitude".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the Alto do Itatiaia, in the Serra da Mantiqueira, State of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. See comment.
