Hyperolius raymondi Conradie, Branch, and Tolley, 2013, Zootaxa, 3635: 214. Holotype: PEM A10049, by original designation. Type locality: "from a dambo near the expedition base camp, Lagoa Carumbo, Lunda Norte Province, Angola (7°44’39.2” S; 19°57’16.8” E, 0719DB, 813 m above sea level)".

Distribution

Three localities in northeastern Angola (Lunda Norte Province) and another cluster of localities in central Angola; expected to occur more widely, likely into adjacent Dem. Rep. Congo.

Confused with Hyperolius cinereus prior to its naming according to the original publication. Marques, Ceríaco, Blackburn, and Bauer, 2018, Proc. California Acad. Sci., Ser. 4, 65 (Suppl. II): 113, provided a map and brief account for Angola. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 206–207, provided a brief account, photograph, and range map. Conradie, Keates, Verburgt, Baptista, and Harvey, 2023, Amph. Rept. Conserv., 17: 35, provided an account and dot map of the species in Angola.
