Crossodactylus franciscanus Pimenta, Caramaschi, and Cruz, 2015, Zootaxa, 3955: 73. Holotype: MNRJ 40137, by original designation. Type locality: "Baixo da Casca d’Anta (aprox. 20º 13’ S, 46º 22’ W, 870 m elevation), Parque Nacional da Serra da Canastra, municipality of São Roque de Minas, Minas Gerais state, Brazil".  

Distribution

Currently known from only two municipalities in the western region of the state of Minas Gerais, both included in the Cerrado biome: Parque Nacional da Serra da Canastra, in the municipality of São Roque de Minas, and the municipality of Passos which is on the opposite margins of the Rio Grande, and approximately 60 km from the type locality. 

Comment

Confused previous to its naming with Crossodactylus trachystomus according to the original publication.
