Crossodactylus cyclospinus Nascimento, Cruz, and Feio, 2005, Amphibia-Reptilia, 26: 498. Holotype: MNRJ 34501, by original designation. Type locality: "Fazenda Duas Barras (15° 53′ S, 40° 28′ W, altitude 800 m approximately), Municipality of Santa Maria do Salto, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil". The coordinates corrected to 16° 25’ S, 40° 03’ W by  Pimenta, Cruz, and Caramaschi, 2014, Arq. Zool., São Paulo, 45: 28.

Distribution

Known from two localities on the banks of the Jequitinhonha River: the type locality (Fazenda Duas Barras, 800 m elevation, Municipality of Santa Maria do Salto, Minas Gerais) and Fazenda Curral Velho, Cristália, Minas Gerais, Brazil

Comment

In the Crossodactylus gaudichaudii species group according to the original publication. Pimenta, Wachlevski, and Cruz, 2008, J. Herpetol., 42: 491, reported a second locality for the species.
