Distribution

Upper Amazon Basin of eastern Peru, Acre and western Amazonas, Brazil, and northern Bolivia; expected in adjacent extreme southeastern Colombia.

In the Scinax rostratus group according to the original publication. In the Scinax ruber clade, Scinax rostratus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat., 6: 263-271, provided range extension to northeastern Peru and central Amazonas, Brazil. Melo-Sampaio and Souza, 2015, Check List, 11 (Art. 1681): 1–6, provided a number of records from Acre, Brazil, and briefly discussed the range.
