Comment

In the Scinax catharinae clade of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 95-96. See discussion by Duellman and Wiens, 1992, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 151: 1-23. Hoogmoed and Gruber, 1983, Spixiana, München, Suppl., 9: 369, noted that the lost holotype of this species may have been confused with the types of Hyla nebulosa Spix due to similar habitus. Pimenta, Faivovich, and Pombal, 2007, Zootaxa, 1441: 35-49, discussed this taxon, designated a neotype, and provided an account. Mendes, Marciano, Ruas, Oliveira, and Solé, 2013, Zootaxa, 3647: 499-500, reported on the advertisement call. Camurugi, Mercês, Nunes, and Juncá, 2013, Zootaxa, 3686: 497-499, reported on larval morphology.
