Hyla longilinea Lutz, 1968, Pearce-Sellards Ser., 10: 5. Holotype: MNRJ 4060, by original designation. Type locality: "the water reservoir of Morro de São Domingos, Poços de Caldas, Minas Gerais, 21° 50′ S., 46° 53′ W., 1,200-1,300 meters elevation", Brazil.

In the Scinax catharinae clade, Scinax catharinae group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 95. Hepp, Lourenço, and Pombal, 2017, Salamandra, 53: 212–230, reported on acoustic traits (as Scinax longilineus).
