Phyllomedusa buckleyi Boulenger, 1882, Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus., Ed. 2: 425. Holotype: BMNH 1947.2.22.35 (formerly 80.12.5.230) according to Condit, 1964, J. Ohio Herpetol. Soc., 4: 97. Type locality: "Sarayacu, [Provincia Pastaza,] Ecuador".

Type locality: "El Topo, R. Pastaza, [Provincia Tungurahua,] E. Ecuador, 4200 feet". Synonymy by Duellman, 1969, Herpetologica, 25: 135.
