Comment

See Duellman, 1974, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 27: 1-27 Rodríguez and Duellman, 1994, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 22: 38–39, provided a brief account for the Iquitos region of northeastern Peru as Hyla tuberculosaSavage and Kubicki, 2010, Zootaxa, 2719: 22, regarded the assignment of this species to Ecnomiohyla as problematic as it lacks the morphological synapmorphies they associate with application of the generic name. See discussion by Duellman, Marion, and Hedges, 2016, Zootaxa, 4104: 21, on why they provisionally placed this species in Hypsiboas. Ron, Venegas, Ortega-Andrade, Gagliardi-Urrutia, and Salerno, 2016, ZooKeys, 630: 115–154, provided an extensive discussion of the systematics and identification of the species and demonstrated that former Ecnomiohyla tuberculosa is a member of Tepuihyla
