Distribution

Humid pine-oak forest and cloud forest in the highlands of the Sierra Madre from southeastern Chiapas, Mexico, eastward through the central and southwestern highlands of Guatemala to northwestern El Salvador and the Sierra de Nombre de Dios in north-central Honduras, 900 to 2800 m elevation.
