Resurrected from the synonymy of Hyla granosa (now Hypsiboas cinerascens) by Hoogmoed, 1979, Zool. Verh., Leiden, 172: 15, where it had been placed by Rivero, 1961, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 126: 101.
