Hyla exastis Caramaschi and Rodrigues, 2003, Arq. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 61: 256. Holotype: MZUSP 63540, by original designation. Type locality: "BRAZIL: BAHIA: Muncipality of São José da Vitoria, Fazenda Unacau (15° 09′ S, 39° 18′ W)".

Distribution

Known only two localities (municipality of São José da Vitoria and Wenceslau Guimarães) in southern Bahia, two localities in Alagoas, and the Municipality of Jaqueira in Pernambuco, Brazil.

Comment

In the Hyla boans group according to the original publication, most similar to Hyla lundii and Hyla pardalis. In the Hypsiboas faber group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 87. Silva, Luna-Dias, Carvalho-e-Silva, and Carvalho-e-Silva, 2008 "2007", Herpetotropicos, Mérida, 4: 48, provided the first record for Alagoas, Brazil, and Bourgeois, 2010, Check List, 6: 626-627, provided a second and mapped the range. Santos and Santos, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 375, provided a record for Pernambuco, Brazil.
