Rana aenea Smith, 1922, J. Nat. Hist. Soc. Siam, 4: 210. Holotype: BMNH (formerly M. Smith 5821), by original designation. Type locality: "Doi Chang, N. Siam [= Thailand], at about 1500 metres altitude".

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Doi Chang, northwestern Thailand) and Fan Si Pan [Mt.], near Sa Pa, Vietnam; Huang Lian Shan Nature Reserve, Yunnan, China; expected in intervening Laos.
