Distribution

Known only from the northern Western Ghats state of Maharashtra, India, where it has been genetically confirmed from the type locality (Amboli) and the Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary (Raigad district), and Koyna (Satara district).

In the Fejervarya rufescens group according to the original publication. Sreekumar and Dinesh, 2020, Rec. Zool. Surv. India, 120: 33–40, discussed the range in Maharashtra, India, in terms of agro-climatic zones. Garg and Biju, 2021, Asian Herpetol. Res., 12: 345–370, summarized the systematics of this member of the Minervarya rufescens group and mapped its distribution.
