Distribution

Known from the type locality in the Khasi Hills, Meghalaya, and Darjeeling, West Bengal, eastern India.

Comment

Most similar to Limnonectes doriae according to the original publication. Chanda, 2002, Handb. Indian Amph.: 127-128, provided a brief account (as Rana mawlyndipi). Dutta, 1997, Amph. India Sri Lanka: 135-136, provided range and partial taxonomic bibliography. Das and Dutta, 2007, Hamadryad, 31: 154–181, noted no larval descriptions in the literature. Mathew and Sen, 2010, Pict. Guide Amph. NE India: 39, provided a brief characterization and photographs and did not include West Bengal as part of the range.
