Limnonectes isanensis McLeod, Kelly, and Barley, 2012, Russ. J. Herpetol., 19: 264. Holotype: FMNH 266214, by original designation. Type locality: "Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary, Kok Nok Kraba, Loei Province at 17° 16′ 48.7″ N 101° 31′ 07.5″ E, 1460 m", Thailand.

Distribution

High-gradient streams in evergreen forest in the Phu Luang Wildlife Sanctuary, Loei Province, Thailand; expected to have a somewhat broader range in Thailand and into Laos.

Comment

In the Limnonectes kuhlii complex and the sister taxon of Limnonectes megastomias + Limnonectes taylori according to the original publication. Ampai, Rujirawan, Arkajag, McLeod, and Aowphol, 2015, Zootaxa, 3981: 508–520, reported on larval morphology. Niyomwan, Srisom, and Pawangkhanant, 2019, Field Guide Amph. Thailand: 260–261, provided a brief account (photographs, habitat, and range) for Thailand (in Thai).
